This organic Kora cotton is undyed and untreated, it embraces the true natural, soft, creamy colour of cotton lint; so easily lost by mechanical weaving and treatment. It retains the fibre’s original character; staying springier and more breathable. Traditional handloom tools used by artisans create subtle slubs and textures that modern machinery cannot replicate.

100% of our CMT process was completed by Vanavil Association. Vanavil trained and developed the skills of the local tribal community into the complete CMT process. The process includes pattern cutting, assembling, and hand-finishing details—each stage carried out with a commitment to skill-building, empowerment, and environmental mindfulness.
Using solar-powered sewing machines and equipment, the team ensures each garment is finished with precision and care.

Each Fuxi is accompanied by deckle-edge archival cotton rag papertags. Made from 100% recycled cotton off-cuts, the paper is acid-free, tree-free, and hand-lifted sheet by sheet before being pressed and sun-dried. Its soft texture, feathery edges, and natural variations reflect the slow craft of its making. Water used in production is drawn and treated onsite.

This cotton will soften overtime with gentle laundering and wear. Wash gently and this will fabric will age gracefully:
Wash seperately for the first few washes.
Cold gentle machine wash or handwash only with mild pH-neutral detergent.
Do not soak.
Warm iron only.
Dry in shade.
This garment should not have prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or any bright light.
