Lilypads in black and white film
The Nüwa Mano Story

Nüwa Mano is a craft based studio founded by María Jesús Hiriart Bertrand and Chloe Sivwright Cano; Chilean and Australian friends brought together by a shared vision for a more authentic and compassionate approach to creativity.

Rooted in our mixed heritage and a deep appreciation for travel, culture, lived experiences and craftsmanship, Nüwa Mano emerged as a meeting point between tradition and contemporary design. We aim to create a dialogue between diverse ways of life and the contemporary world.

Through Nüwa Mano, these values are translated into pieces that are handmade in limited quantities; honouring the time and rhythm each artisan and piece requires.

We see each creation as a unique artistic expression; a piece with its own story, intention, and inherent value. We approach every material and process with care, using only non-toxic, skin-friendly ingredients. We specialise in handloom textiles, derived from natural elements and methods that have been used for centuries.

At the heart of Nüwa Mano is a commitment to preserving traditional textile techniques, with a focus on form, detail and collaboration. We work closely with skilled artisans in different regions of India to craft limited-edition pieces.
